Nothing special here, but it's worth to mention and show it. I quickly made the layout of the Vekoma Junior Coasters, but then in mirrored form. And I think it turned out very well:Ī last quick coaster layout i made, was a Junior Coaster. So after the corkscrew test, I wanted to test it in layout form, and I began with making the layout of a true coaster classic: A vekoma corkscrew (like the former Superwirbel - Holiday Park or Corkscrew - Alton towers). Still the corkscrew won't be as smooth as real life where the roll is in a constant flow. Corkscrew are pretty easy to make by hand and the smoothing tool works pretty good. Now for a wing-coaster, the hearthline doesn't matter that much, but for other coasters it is more of a problem.Īfter the wing-coaster with the zero-g-roll, I wanted to test if now corkscrew were easier to make on the arrow/vekoma track. You can make the roll of a piece of track around a hearthline roll, but if you want to edit that piece of track afterwards with smoothing, the hearthline is gone and editing is done around a line which lies on the center of the track. Still only problem is the hearthline of such rolls. It turned out very smooth, better than I expected. I'm actually very satisfied with the Zero G-roll. So when you want to drag the track upwards, you have to drag the mouse downwards. Only problem is that when you made a half-loop and build straight forward, the mouse directions are inversed. The tool works very good and makes typical elements like an Immelman or the typical wing-coaster first drop a lot easier. The wing coaster was just a little test for the new tool in Planet Coaster which makes it easier to make custom inversions.

If you have yet to pick up the main Planet Coaster game itself, the aforementioned sale is going to be live for the next three days (as of the time of writing – meaning it ends on April 11.In a small amount of free time, I took the time to play with the coaster-builder of Planet Coaster after the latest update which makes it easier to make custom loopings. Here’s a gameplay trailer showing off the Copperhead Strike in action: This coaster is separate from the other rides that will be a part of the aforementioned Classic Rides Collection DLC. The Cooperhead Strike also has a mean list of features, containing a “double launch track layout including an inverted top hat, two loops, a corkscrew, and a unique jojo roll straight out of the station.” This rollercoaster is going to be free as part of a new update to the main Planet Coaster package which will bump the game’s version up to 1.11. Park layouts/symmetrical scenery placement - I’m personally quite pleased with the park layout of Worlds of Globala, and I’d say I’ve considerably improved my park layouts since some of my early creations (in hindsight, the layout of my very first Planet Coaster park was absolutely shocking), but I’ve been told that I often have a. But, there is at least one other new ride that the studio has revealed: the Copperhead Strike rollercoaster from the real-world park of Carowinds in North Carolina.Ĭarowinds’ Copperhead Strike rollercoaster is one that was designed with thrill seekers in mind, which even applies to its theme which models its cars after classic American hot rods.

Frontier has not yet provided specific details as to exactly what these new rides are going to be, but have at least confirmed that more information will be released on April 16, 2019. The new Classic Rides Collection for Planet Coaster will introduce nine new rides and one variant, each being inspired by classic rides from amusement parks all over the world.
